Accucut Machine

The store now has an Accucut machine. The dies we have brought in are predominantly card making dies...perfect for any kind of invitation, announcement or any other kind of card you want to make. If you are making multiples of the same card, this will save you so much time!

We are very happy to offer this service for FREE when you buy your paper from us on the same day you are going to cut it. Otherwise, a per cut fee will apply.

New My Minds Eye

The new My Minds Eye Abby Road collection as well as two new halloween and two new Christmas collections are here. I'm sorry they have not made it to the web yet, but I thought I was doing pretty good today getting them all out on the shelf. 5pm is quickly approaching and there are still unopened boxes. Yikes!

New Cuttlebug

The new cuttlebug embossing folders are instock and now up on the website. (The UPS guy and Purolator have both been in again today. Keep checking the blog as I'll update you when I unpack!)

New Bo Bunny

Well, I didn't have to stalk the UPS guy long before packages began to arrive this week. In fact, in one day I had UPS , Purolator and Canpar all at my door. We have been busy getting the new items unpacked and put out on the shelf. They are also slowly making their way onto the website. Here is a peek at the new Bo Bunny. It is already up on the website for ordering, or you can drop by the store. I'll be posting more new items to the blog today as I get the opportunity.

Summer Fun

It has been a fun summer despite the not so "summery" weather, so why not come to the Memory Keeper on Thursday Aug 13th and participate in the Summer Fun Class?

Have you used the Threading Water scallop punch yet? Well, this layout uses that punch to make the scalloped edges with the little holes. Border punches, especially this one are becoming the hottest tool in scrapbooking right now.

This class also features a little paper piecing, and some watermark stamping. Come on out and have some Summer Fun! Class is $12 and you need to bring your basic scrapbook kit, including pop dots.

Graphic 45 Papers

WOW! Sounds like the Festival of Friends was a success despite the heat and wet weather. I really wanted to go, however I sprained my ankle last Tuesday and the uneaven ground wasn't the best place for me to be walking.

HOWEVER!! I did get a chance to do a few layouts in my nice dry and cool basement scrapbook room. Heritage Layouts are my favourite ones to do, and using the Graphic 45 papers that are available at The Memory Keeper sure makes a nice page layout. Here are some of the pages I did this weekend.

A Wet Festival

Well I must say that the Festival of Friends was quite an adventure for us. The weather did not co-operate, yet still I was amazed at the number of people who attended. Friday was a nice day. There was quite an interest in our $5 layouts and we were even able to get some folks to have a seat and make a page right then and there. Most of you brought your kits home. The samples will be in the store and the photos are in a previous post to help you assemble them. There are still kits left and they are available to purchase at the store.

Saturday was wet wet wet! Thanks to the efforts of my amazing husband the Mobile Memory Keeper was sporting a new addition...an awning. What a saver that was! We managed to stay dry and happily not everyone was deterred by the rain. We made new contacts and hopefully will see some of those new faces at the store.

Sunday started off very wet and lightening ended the music early in the day. But in a few hours the sun came back out again and the festival was back in full swing as it got hotter and hotter.... the hottest day of the summer apparently. Inside a trailer isn't where you want to be on the muggiest day of the year...but there were some die hards who managed to find us and were not deterred from going inside the trailer to check it out.

Around 9:15 a frenzy of packing up around us began as a lightening instead of the musicians became the show of the evening. When the wind lifted my awning and a clamp came off, I decided that packing up early was indeed a very good idea. I got everything inside just as the downpour began. The next task on my husbands list will be to put a handle on the INSIDE of the trailer door for times when I need to take refuge inside from very vicious elements.

What an adventure!
