Chalks
Glue Pen
Pop Dots

I will be posting my other classes here in different posts, so stay tuned!!!!

How am I to get ANYTHING done???

This is my excuse for not getting my scrapping done..........first of all, its hard to scrap when there is a kitten all over your stuff, but how can you resist that face that says "love me, even though I just finished eating your ribbon" hehehe

It's raining boxes!!

Deliveries arrived yesterday that I didn't have the opportunity to tell you about because I was working on the newsletter....which, by the way... are you signed up for yet?? If not, you can sign up right from our website. Anyway I thought for sure I'd get those boxes emptied today, but first thing this morning the Purolator truck pulled up and right on it's heels was the UPS truck. So, as you can see I'm up to my ears in boxes. Horray! I LOVE new stuff don't you? I've attached a quick photo of some of the new travel items that arrived yesterday. You have been asking me for a long time for more Canadian stuff. Well here it is. STickers for the provinces. More international paper and stickers came as well. That should all be up on the shelf today. When will it be on the web? Um...Laura help!!

In these lovely boxes you see is a wonderful assortment of new things including....BO BUNNY!!! Yes, I'm screaming and jumping up and down because it is such great stuff!!! I'll leave you in a little suspence and let you know what is in the other boxes once I get some of it out. (Isn't it amazing that after 7 years of running this store I still get excited over boxes of new stuff!!) Oh scrapbooking is wonderful!

Have fun!

Sheila

Heat Embossing Class

Here is the layout for my next class to be held at the Memory Keeper on Tuesday March 24th. This class features stamping, using Technique Tuesday stamps, heat embossing, and lots of glitter using stickles. The papers are from My Minds Eye and are so bright and cheery! I had so much fun making this layout, I'm sure you will too! Class runs from 6 pm-8pm and costs $12. You will need to bring a basic kit, which includes, black ink, glue dots and pop dots. The title will be precut for you and will include the word MOON so that you can change the title to read: I love you to the MOON & back or leave it as shown.

Please note, the "white blocks" on the layout are where the pictures go, there are no mats to this layout but measurements are provided for the picture sizes.

I hope you'll join me for a fun workshop!

I'm surrounded by Cuteness!!!

My Minds Eye arrived yesterday! It is all so stinking adorably cute!! As you can see, I don't have it up on the shelf just yet....all of those little pieces need to be sorted first...but I'm working on it! Thanks to Laura, it is up on the website though, so you can order it on line...or pop by! I'll have it up soon!

And since I'm on the topic of cute things....here are two of my cuties that I left at home this morning. Mark just got off of night shift and Cole has a cold and pink eye. Of course he spent half the night awake (and kept me up too) but decided that once Dad was home, it was time to sleep. Good thing he is SO CUTE!!

Upcoming Classes with Lisa

HI everyone! I am sure that there are a great number of you that I have met, and probably have had in a class or two over the years, and I am looking forward to seeing many more of you in the future. As many of you know, I have been teaching classes at the Memory Keeper since it opened at the current location. I have enjoyed creating fun layouts for everyone to enjoy in their albums and I am always looking to bring in new techniques, and of course, continuing with some old favourites. I really like to use a mix of products and am always up for anything.

I, unlike both Sheila and Gwen, am not new to blogging. I have had a blog for the past couple of years, but really let it slack in the past year. I am currently making it my goal to keep more up to date with my own blog, as well as posting here. If you ever drop by, I would love to hear from you there, so just leave me a little note.

Valentine's Day is fast approaching and I have a special LOVE layout class coming up on Thursday, February 12 from 6:30pm-8:30pm. We all have someone that we love in our lives, so why not come on out and create a page to help showcase that special love. Hope to see some of you there! We will be using Basic Grey Bittersweet pattern papers, chipboard letters, micro beads, heart shaped brads, Quickutz dies and you will be doing some stippling on this layout. Cost is $12

Supplies you need to bring--
Glossy Accents, chalk, black pen, basic kit, aged Mahogany ink, stipple brush

Tuesday, February 17 at 6:00pm-8:00pm $12

We will be creating a SISTERS layout
I don't currently have an image of this class to share with you here, but will get one to post a little later during the week.

Wednesday, February 18 at 6:00pm-8:00pm $12

We will be creating A Year in Review layout. Again, I will have to get an image to share with you here later in the week.

I have one more class on February 26, so be sure to keep watching in the upcoming week to see what it will be, or take time and drop by the store to get a peek!

HAPPY SCRAPPING!

Lisa
Remember there are no mistakes in scrap booking, only embellishment opportunities

Cookie Monster Learning is Fun Class

Upcoming classes from Gwen

Hi Everyone-

As with Sheila, I am very new to this blogging stuff! I hope you'll be as patient with me too! I have been a long time customer of The Memory Keeper and just started teaching there just before Christmas. I have taught scrapbooking before, so this is not new to me. I really enjoy teaching others how to scrapbook and help them to learn new techniques. My favourite technique is inking! I LOVE ink! You won't find too many of my layouts with out it. However, if you are taking one of my classes and you prefer not to use ink, don't feel like you have to use it just because I did! I strongly encourage you to make each layout YOURS!

I have two upcoming classes in February, and look forward to seeing you.

Tuesday Feb 10th: 6pm-8pm

Come and have some fun with a pre-made overlay and prima's. A very nice bright cheery layout to help you get through the winter blahs!

I took the pictures as they hung on the wall, so next time I post pictures, I'll be sure to take ones that are MUCH better!

The next class I am teaching is on Tuesday Feb 24th from 6 pm-8pm. This one is going to be lots of fun. We'll be doing some stamping, inking and playing with a little of the co-ordinations paper and Quickutz goosebumps too!

If you require further information about these or any other of the classes offered at the Memory Keeper, please contact the store.

Keep on Scrappin!

Gwen

"Just as pieces stitched together in a quilt warm our bodies, Scrapbooks bind together memories to warm our Hearts! "

Available $5 Layouts

These are the $5 Layouts that are currently available in the store. (I apologize for how the colour came out on some of the photos) Please keep in mind that there are a limited number of each kit. From time to time we will re-do a kit with similar papers if it has been popular, but it is best to get in as soon as you can if you see a layout you would like to do. You can drop by to do $5 layouts anytime there is no class going on. Don't forget to bring your adhesive!!

Welcome to The Memory Keeper Blog!

I've been resisting this blogging thing for a very long time, but have finally decided to take the leap! Please endure as I learn the program and play with the design.

My goal is to post new $5 layouts as I get them made, have the ladies post some of their classes, and to let you know as soon as new product arrives at the store. Having just returned from CHA that should start happening really soon! Woohoo!

Thanks for visiting and happy scrapping!

Sheila
