Help Needed! Do you live in Caledonia?

Saturday June 6th is the townwide Garage Sale in Caledonia and we are looking for a Caledonia resident who is willing to host The Mobile Memory Keeper for the duration of the sale. The hostess would receive a free gift PLUS 10% of our sales in the form of a gift certificate for the store. We would need a driveway big enough to hold a trailer 7 feet wide x 16 feet long, plus leeway on the length for the trailer tongue (at least an extra 2 feet) and extra width for the stairs and possibly a canopy. Please send us an email if you are interested and able to help.

The Mobile Memory Keeper

I've been sitting here trying to come up with a catchy line to give to introduce to you The Mobile Memory Keeper. I keep wanting to type...The Memory Keeper had a baby! So there it is, I typed it. We'll see if it is still there by the time I click Publish Post. "We are on the move" is more appropriate I suppose, but I wouldn't want you all to think that the store was re-locating. Apparently that rumour somehow went around a few months ago and I even received a phone call from someone claiming to be a realator wanting to know if we had found a new locaton. So let me just offically put that one to bed by telling you that in March we signed a new lease. So 1119 Fennell Ave is stuck with us for a few more years.
Click here to read all about The Mobile Memory Keeper on the website. There is even a form there that you can fill out to request us to come to your town, crop or event. I'll be adding more information and revising the form as time goes on and we work out whatever kinks need to be worked out in this new venture! Your input is always appreciated.

Garage Sale Deadline Tomorrow

Just a reminder ladies that tomorrow (May 13th) is the deadline to bring in your items to sell at our garage sale which is this Friday 3-9 and Saturday 10-5.

Build a Card

Never mind building bears, we would rather build cards! (Unless of course we can get a few awesome photos of the kids building the bears so we can scrapbook them!)

We now have a mini build a card station at the store! For only $1.50 you can pick a card, an envelope and three embellishments from various choices to create a card. Embellishments include charms, buttons, ribbon, die cuts, bottle caps and flowers. Perfect for last minute card creations!

$5 Layouts

This first layout was just begging me to put the word Mom on it. As you may have experienced if you have been cropping here lately, many of our fonts have reached the end of their life span. Gradually we will be replacing them. A new Sixxiz Serif font arrived last week, so if you feel compelled to add MOM (or anything else) to this five dollar layout, you'll have the opportunity! More new equipment will be coming a little bit down the road, but for now I'm keeping it a secret what it will be!

Blessed

The good thing about having a Blog is that I can post things even if they are totally unrelated to the blog topic, and nobody is going to boot me or delete it. :>) What a lucky Girl I am. Hubby and I have birthday one day (and many years) apart. We took a few days away from work, and I just have to show off a couple of photos I took of my men while we were away. What a blessed woman I am! With mother's day having just passed, I hope that many of you were also able to reflect on how blessed you are..even if you are not a mother I hope there are people in your life that make you feel blessed!! I challenge you to scrapbook how blessed you are!

New Quickutz

Well, better late than never I suppose. The Quickutz gift sets graced us with their presence today....but only 1/3rd of our order came. So needless to say quantities are limited. The Quickutz embossing folders arrived last week and have been flying out the door very quickly. They work the same as the cuttlebug embossing folder. Provocraft will not have new releases in embossing folders until the fall, so if you need some more styles, give the Quickutz ones a try.

From JPEG To Die Cut with Wall-E

Ok, fess up. You've got a Silhouette, but you're either not using it at all, or you're just scratching the surface of what it can actually do. My arm is waving high, can you see it? I'm guilty too. This month for the die cut club class we are going to learn how to use the Silhouette to take an image that you've found on the internet and turn it into a cuttable file. Please note: You do not have to have a Silhouette to come and make this layout, and you do not have to be a member of the die cut club to attend either. Please note too that this is not an in depth exploration of the Silhouette. We will be spending approximately half an hour learning how to create a cuttable file from a JPEG, and then we will proceed to make the layout. The class is May 26th 6pm to 8pm. The cost for non members is $12. The cost for members is $5. Please sign up ahead of time.
